May, 2016

We've had several teams on the site this month working through studies to support permitting and siting. This month, we completed the geotech study, which helps us further understand the soil and rock around the site. We've also been in the process of an endangered species survey to understand if there are any sensitive habitats and wildlife on the site that need to be avoided.

Many questions we have received the community are related to water - water use, water source, water volumes, Alexander Lake levels, and many others. We have been aggressively researching answers to these questions, as well as exploring options that help minimize consumption. We look forward to providing more detailed information in an upcoming report, expected to be released in mid to late June.

You may have seen a sign on the site earlier this month to help advertise the public meeting we held on May 4, 2016. In order to help bring more awareness of the project to the community, we have decided to place a permanent sign on the property with contact information in case community members driving by the property would like to ask questions or provide comments to us.

As always, please don't hesitate to reach out to me - we would be happy to meet with you to discuss the project and any concerns you may have.  My cell phone is 904-325-5522 and my email is dgroleau@nteenergy.com.
